❝ this is a modern love, but an antique ache
(heartbreak's as old as time, after all)
they say don’t romanticize the ruin
but how can i not when there are roses left unclaimed?
when what i called fate they called affection, reluctantly given?
of course i romanticize it all  - of course i keep waiting - of course i keep believing - of course i tell myself that one day
you’ll give me a valentine’s day with no disclaimers ❞
